Together Against FGM/C – Empowering Girls, Building Futures

On 8 February 2021, Never Give Up Förderverein e.V. Germany marked the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM/C) by organising an awareness campaign in Kisanana Mogotio, Baringo County, Kenya.

As part of the initiative, we visited five schools to educate girls about menstrual hygiene, girls’ rights, and the prevention of FGM/C while encouraging confidence and personal empowerment.

The foundation provided hygiene supplies, underwear, and face masks to the students. We also held open discussions with the girls to better understand the challenges they face within their communities.

During our visits, we met several girls living with physical disabilities whose needs we hope to continue supporting through future initiatives.
